This interview couldn’t come any timelier!
CEO’s are tired and exhausted after the Covid
Pandemic, now they face the economic downturn, the increasing costs
of serving their customers, shrinking budgets and the list goes on!
What a CEO needs is resilience! But ironically
resilience needs building and it’s not enough if you, as the CEO,
demonstrate this skill, your team (what we call the C-Suite) must
be resilient too so that you can do the strategic thinking whilst
the team executes the direction of travel. Nadia and I discuss how
the role of the Business Leader has changed over the last couple of
years.
It’s
so much more than stakeholder analysis, ensuring skills &
technology are deployed sensibly and the commercial aspects of the
business are thought through.
Now
- this may require that you decide not to decide! We call this “Sit
it Out”! There has to be a balance between quick wins and longer
term results - so your teams need to be on board! Which puts the
focus well and truly on consistent and frequent
communication!
